We invite you to join us on Tuesday, January 31, from 3-4:30 p.m. for a final farewell as we close the doors of our UHC Clinic for good.
For close to five decades, the University Health Center (UHC) at Detroit Receiving Hospital was a flourishing medical center and residence for a 42-chair clinic for our School. The hallmark of our clinic at UHC was that it was a destination for a medically compromised diverse patient base, which provided learning experiences that students at other schools only read about.
With the pandemic’s ongoing effects and patient count decreasing, our patients have voiced a preference to receive care at the Corktown Campus. Thus, after years of service through UHC, we will end our lease on Tuesday, January 31, at 11:59 p.m. We have cherished all that this opportunity provided us and are excited for future opportunities ahead!
